I had another assignment to submit this week, which kinda explains why I was MIA.

(I was also just plain lazy to blog. Hahaha)

I don't mind doing assignments, but the assignments are kinda taking my study time away and it is so annoying cause exams are not that far away and I'm trying to understanding the units just so I could do the assignments, and I have to relearn everything when exam comes. Blargh.

Like even right now, I'm so blur about like 75% of the things I've learnt.

And it's really funny how people always expect me to have the answers to all the assignment questions
. I have people approaching me from every corner asking me to help with assignments. I really wonder there's an unseen sign/arrow pointing at me that says, "I KNOW THE ANSWERS! ASK ME!". It's nice when I can tell people I do have the answers, but it's so annoying when I don't cause they put me up on a pedestal, think I can do no wrong, and expect me to have an answer even though I'm just as clueless as them. Haih. And I'm really scared if what I teach people are wrong. Nanti ajar orang ajaran sesat. Aiyo.

Oh, I got back one of my mid-sem results and one assignment results. It was satisfying, overall, and even though I knew I could have done better, I just have to wait until exams to make up for the lost marks I guess.

So anyways, enough about Monash.

Last Sunday my dad took the whole family up to Bukit Tinggi for a picnic/drive.

There was nothing much to do there, and by the time we got there it was already like 3, so we only went around looking at houses that were for sale, and went to the Rabbit Park. The rabbits were so cute and so manja! Much better than we went last time, when they were a bunch of hostile bunnies waiting for us there. :| Hostile bunnies are scary!!!!

Crash and Burn

My tests were ridiculously hard. -___-'

I studied really hard for the two tests, it was almost like I was studying for my finals.

I read like every single lecture carefully that I seriously felt like I could answer any questions they throw at me.

But oh boy, was I wrong.

I think I could only do like 60% of the questions. And I was totally befuddled.

It's damn annoying. I need the marks, dammit.

I was stressed before the tests, during the tests and even after the tests.

But oh well. What's done is done, right?

So anyways, since it's going to be my dad's birthday tomorrow today (1st of May) and Alwani's birthday on the 2nd, Anis and I went to buy their cards and presents in Sunway Pyramid.

We had a sort of early dinner at 5 oclock since I forgot to eat lunch (I never forget lunch, okay?) cause I was too busy studying for my Financial Management test and so I was really hungry by the time we got to Carls Jr. The food was yummyyyyyy. Finally, I got to eat something other than the expensive Monash cafeteria food. I am bored of the food in Monash.

Since it's the end of the month, Anis and I were a bit quite broke la, but we still managed to buy the birthday cards and gifts. After buying all the gifts, we went around Sunway Pyramid and found this small section of Sunway Pyramid called Asian Avenue, which reminded us of shops in Sungei Wang and the malls in Shenzhen, where there were these small quirky shops, and I saw loads of things that I liked. I was going mad because I didn't have the money to splurge on anything. Rawr.

I think that had I not been broke, in my stressed-out state, I would have bought everything that I had set my eyes on. Even now, Anis and I are going "We're so coming back next week". Good thing Pyramid's near Monash and Sun-U. Or maybe that's bad, cause I really have the urge to splurge right now.

And fyi, I'm a very impulsive buyer and I tend to buy stuff that I don't need and usually don't use.

Dear Lord, HELP ME!

Oh, by the way, I just realised that I have an assignment due next week, and 2 more assignments are due 2 weeks after that and in 5 weeks time my exams will start. In this small space of time, I have to understand everything from A to Z for the 4 units I'm taking, do my tutorials and still attend the lectures.

Is it any wonder why I'm going nuts?

Oh, and while I was studying for my Fin.Mgmt Test, I suddenly felt like the most appropriate to describe mysself at that point was that I was near the point where I was going to crash and burn.
And then I remembered about an old Savage Garden's song called (surprise, surprise) Crash and Burn. So I went on Youtube and looked up the song. And I relaxed a bit after listening to the song. Hahaha.

Here's the chorus to the song:

Let me be the one you call
If you jump I'll break your fall
Lift you up and fly away with you into the night
If you need to fall apart
I can mend a broken heart
If you need to crash then crash and burn
You're not alone

Fine, it sounds more like the song is dedicated to people who are depressed instead of stressed, but it's nice to know that Darren Hayes is singing that he'll lift me up and fly away with me into the night. But then again, he's gay. Hahahahaha.

I'm rambling, aren't I? No surprise there.

OK, I need some sleep. Like now.

Nite, people! =)

PS: When I was distracted on Youtube, I watched THIS clip about this ventroloquist called Jeff Dunham and his doll called Achmed the Dead Terrorist. It's a bit offensive la, but it's DAMN funny! I laughed my head off watching it. It's a bit of a stress-reliever for me. Teehee.

Take a look at it! It's funny!

I really should be studying.

Considering the fact that I have like 3 days to study for my tests.

But I just can't study....-_-

I know I'm going to regret not studying right now come next Monday.

Haih.

April 22, 2008

My exam timetable came out yesterday.

Blargh.

Exam sucks. I have papers on the 5th, 10th, 11th and 23rd of June.

And the worst thing is, the two units that I really suck at (and I mean, really stink at) are like back-to-back, on the 10th and 11th of June.

Dah la next week I got test for BOTH the units. On Monday and Wednesday.

Rawr.

I'm damn stressed. And exam's still like 6 weeks away.

And to add to that, I have to resubmit my assignment for my Stats unit cause got some things that I have to modified. Haih. Sedihnya. But I realised the only reason our lecturer's asking us to resubmit is so that we can get more marks for the assignment and help us with the unit overall. Can't be too bitter about that.

I know I'm going to spend my time studying in Monash on Friday and Saturday. Oh shit. Maybe not on saturday cause there's going to be a street carnival in Monash.

But I really need to find a place to study. I can't study at home. I'm getting distracted (like how I'm blogging right now!).

Oh, by the way, in the car I heard the song Sunny Came Home by Shawn Colvin on Mix FM.

Sunny came home to her favorite room
Sunny sat down in the kitchen
She opened a book and a box of tools
Sunny came home with a mission

She says days go by I'm hypnotized
I'm walking on a wire
I close my eyes and fly out of my mind
Into the fire

Sunny came home with a list of names
She didn't believe in transcendence
It's time for a few small repairs she said
Sunny came home with a vengeance

She says days go by I dont know why
I'm walking on a wire
I close my eyes and fly out of my mind
Into the fire

Get the kids and bring a sweater
Dry is good and wind is better
Count the years, you always knew it
Strike a match, go on and do it

Days go by I'm hypnotized
I'm walking on a wire
I close my eyes and fly out of my mind
Into the fire
Oh, light the sky and hold on tight
The world is burning down
She's out there on her own and she's alright
Sunny came home
Sunny came home

This song brought back memories because I remembered in standard 6, our class had to do an aerobic thing to this song and even though we screwed it up, we had so much fun doing it.

Ingat tak, Zaty? That was like 9 years ago!

Oh My God.

Cupcakes, a fever and a movie

May Lee gave me these cupcakes today! Aren't they the cutest???

They're yummyyyyyyyyyyyy! Thanks a bunch, May Lee! *grins widely*

Dah la I was still craving for cupcakes since the other day.

I actually planned to drop by at Cuppacakes on my way to Monash yesterday to get some cupcakes.

But that didn't happen because I got sick on Thursday.

And I spent the whole of Thursday and yesterday in bed because I was sniffling and coughing and my temperature was spiking up.

But luckily it wasn't as bad like
when I got sick last December.

My voice is still a bit weird though today. Haha. Very nasally.

And so I have not studied for the past three days because of my fever.

Shit. I'm worried, but I just can't study. -_-'

Oh, I watched Ever After a few days ago on HBO. Anis and I squealed when we found out it was on because it's been AGESSSSSSSSSSS since we've watched it.

And I can't believe how I didn't notice Drew Barrymore's fake British accent when I was younger. Listening to her speaking was the one thing that made me cringe the entire movie because I don't think she can pull the accent off.

Oh, and there were these lines that Prince Henry says in the movie that really made me think.

Prince Henry: Do you really think there is only one perfect mate?
Leonardo da Vinci: As a matter of fact, I do.
Prince Henry: Well then how can you be certain to find them? And if you do find them, I mean really the one for you, or do you only think they are, then what happens if the person you're supposed to be with never appears, or she does but you're too distracted to notice?
Leonardo da Vinci: You learn to pay attention.
Prince Henry: And let's say... God puts 2 people on earth and they are lucky enough to find one another, but one of them gets hit by lightening, well then what, is that it? Or perchance you meet someone new and marry all over again, is that the lady you're supposed to be with, or was it the first? And if so, when the 2 of them are walking side by side, were they both the one for you and you just happened to meet the first one first, or was the second one supposed to be first? And is everything chance? Or are some things meant to be?
Leonardo da Vinci: You cannot leave everything to fate boy. She's got a lot to do, sometimes you must give her a hand.

What Prince Henry said kinda makes you think, doesn't it? It makes you wonder about your soulmate...and as much as I want to believe that there is one guy out there for me, I still think that I would end up being a spinster with 69 cats (like what I told Ine). Hahaha.

I'm going to sleep soon. Still haven't fully recovered from the fever. :(

SPAIN'S PREGNANT DEFENSE MINISTER

I think this story is really interesting. A pregnant woman as the Defense Minister.

Wonder if there'll ever be a day when Malaysian's Defence Minister is a pregnant woman.

Hmmmm.

Nope. Don't think it'll ever happen.

I think I'm getting sick. I got the sniffles already. =(

And my lecturer told me that for my AFW2020 unit, exam's going to be in the 1st week of exams. Which does not leave me with much time to study.

I have two tests coming in less than 2 weeks, and they're important because one's like 10% of the overall marks and the other one's like 20% of my total marks.

And I've barely started studying for that.

Oh, I also have a few more assignments due throughout May.

Which means that I have less and less study time available.

Darnit.

And I am soooo not in the mood to study tonight.

This semester is so bloody stressing. :-S

PS: The Celine Dion concert was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh My God, I think I screamed my lungs out that night!

So worth it. *sigh*

Updates Version 2

Update 19/4/08: The piccies are up!

After writing the first post right, i totally forgot that I haven't written anything what i did on my birthday, haha.

So anyways, I didn't go out with anyone on Friday because my friends were all unavailable and my parents were busy. I was a bit sad la, so Anis and I went to this place on Great Eastern Mall called Mumbo Jumbo because I was really curious and I've wanted to try their jacket potato since last year. What better day to go then on your birthday, right?

The food there wasn't that bad. I liked it. And Anis bought me a slice of cake from Strudels. can't remember what it was, but it was delicious!

So anyways, on Saturday, my dad said that we could go and hang out in the room that he got at the Mandarin Oriental. He got the room because he was organizing a conference at the KL Convention Center (which explained why he was busy the night before), so we spent the whole day lazying around in the room.

For dinner, we had my belated birthday celebration at the hotel's bistro. Found out that the buffet costs Rm73++ per person. And there were 8 of us, okay? I seriously felt guilty about that. But the food was quite good.

Since my dad only got one room, obviously not all of us got to stay the night. So Anis, Zara and I ended up staying while the others all went back. Didn't do much, just slept that night because I got really depressed when I found out Arsenal drew with Liverpool in their EPL match (and lost 4-2 to Liverpool in their Champions League Match on wednesday, which made me even more depressed), and I was really tired, so I just slept. Haha. Will upload piccies of the room soon. Pictures are up! scroll over the pics for descriptions!

And on Monday, I got a parcel from Ine from Australia! she got me Britney Spears' Fantasy Make-Up Kit and a necklace and a pair of earrings. I was so happy!

Image047

Gift from Ine! ^____^

Oh, and my siblings got me this plush toy that is super cute, and it has $$ signs in its eyes and it was drooling. Apparently, that's supposed to be me. Oh well. I can't help it. I like money!

Image049

Oh, and I'm also going to the Celine Dion concert tomorrow!

I AM VERY, VERY, VERY EXCITED! *bounces*

I have liked Celine Dion since like EVER. My parents fault la. They used to pasang Celine Dion's cassettes inside the car. (Cassettes okay, not CDs!)

I've been waiting to see Celine Dion for 13 years! And I'm going tomorrow!!!!

It's going to be like a major karaoke session. I can't wait!

PS: And yes, it DOES depress me that I am no longer a teen. But it gives me a certain satisfaction, too, to say that I am twenty when people ask for my age. Hahaha.
