It amazes me sometimes how different the female and male brain can be.
Like the other day, Nat was telling me about this series that she's watching called United States of Tara. The description of the series from its Wiki page:
So anyways, when Nat told me about the series over lunch with Chee, the first thought that came to my mind was "Imagine what would happen if she is in the middle of cooking/baling something as Alice and she switches back to Tara? What would happen to the food?"
Hey, in my defense, I like food, and we were eating at the time, so it seemed appropriate that I was thinking about food. Lol.
So later that night, I was telling the boyfriend about the series over dinner at Las Carretas (where he was totally deceived by the small-ish portion of his food and was shocked when he actually got so full. I told you so. =p), and then he said something along the lines of "Imagine what would happen if Tara and her husband were in the middle of having sex and she changes into Buck?"

Oh yes. How differently our minds work.
Another example of how differently is when I was having another conversation with Nat on fb.
These shoes in the picture above are known as nude pumps.
I love looking at women in these shoes. It's so fascinating. And I think these Aldo ones are gorgeous. And I'd be lying if I said I don't want to own a pair because these would look good when I wear them for work later on.
But then again, knowing my luck, I might just trip over my own heels when I wear these pumps or I might end up having blisters on my feet. Or maybe both. And it's really annoying that I am allergic to the glue on plasters because it means that when I get blisters, I can't just put on a plaster cause it'll actually make things worse. Urgh.
So yeah, I was telling Nat about how I want the nude pumps and then one guy friend said this:
Don't know what a nude pump is, but I've always loved nude!
It's funny how a lot of things are interpreted sexually by men.
And it's a learning process for me to comprehend that my boyfriend's perspective on a topic might be totally different from mine because I've been surrounded almost my whole life by girls who are on similar wavelengths. Lol.
PS: I'm itching to change the blog template. Might do that after the exams. =)

And a trailer of the series:
Tara Gregson is a wife and mother of two children. Tara has dissociative identity disorder (DID). Whenever she is stressed, she transforms into one of her alternate personalities: wild and flirty teenager T; old-fashioned housewife Alice; and male, loud, beer-drinking Vietnam vet Buck.
