The Cat's Diary

Day 983 of My Captivity

My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed hash or some sort of dry nuggets. Although I make my contempt for the rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength.

The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape. In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the carpet. Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet. I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it clearly demonstrates my capabilities. However, they merely made condescending comments about what a "good little hunter" I am. Bastards!

There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event. However, I could hear the noises and smell the food. I overheard that my confinement was due to the power of "allergies." I must learn what this means, and how to use it to my advantage.

Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try this again tomorrow, but at the top of the stairs.

I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches. The dog receives special privileges. He is regularly released, and seems to be more than willing to return. He is obviously retarded. The bird must be an informant. I observe him communicate with the guards regularly. I am certain that he reports my every move. My captors have arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so he is safe. For now ...

It's funny, right???? And you can just imagine the cats thinking like that.

Oh, by the way, I found it funny that people were shocked that I was actually studying in Monash during the break. I mean, it's a bit of give and take la.

You study for three hours, and then you rest for three days. Fair enough, right? Lol.

Right now I wanna go read those Archie comics that my sisters bought. Hmmm, I used to remember the time when I had a shelf full of Archie comics. Wow, those were good times. Lol. I wonder what happened to my Archie collection...

Okiedokes, I'm off. Nitenite, people. =)

When I grow up.

I've been pestering my dad for a new car for a long time cause anyone who's been in my Vitara lately would know how kesian my car is.

So anyways, when my dad asked me what sort of car I want, I said I want a car that's tall, if it was possible, cause tall cars are so much better to drive.

The thing is right, the cars that fit my criteria like the Kia Sportage and Suzuki SX4 are all in the RM 90,000 range and my dad's conditions for a new car is that once I start working, I'll have to take over the loan payments. Which is fair enough, since it's going to be MY CAR anyways.

So anyhow, I was looking at the brochures for the cars and the price list and what-nots and I was looking at how much the loan repayment is a month for these cars. If i were to take a 9-year loan, the loan repayment would be around RM900+ per month.

So I did some calculations. Say if I could (optimistically) get around RM2,400 or Rm2,500 for my first job, after deducting the tax that I have to pay and the monthly loan repayment, I'll only be left with about RM1,000 for my monthly expenses. What the hell. And that doesn't include the money for petrol and parking and emergency nonsense. -___-

So now, unless I can find a first job that pays me like RM4,000 (which is almost impossible), I think I have to forego that dream of a tall car and just consider of buying a cheaper car for myself if I were to have more disposable income during my first few years of working life. Haih. I hate it when reality sets in.

Never mind. I'm still young. There's still plenty of time for me to get a nice car once I'm settled in the working force but, urgh. Work. NOT looking forward to that.

My weekend =)

Me, with my date for the Monash Ball. Yep, my sister was my plus one that night. Hahahaha.

I had fun that night. But the food sucked. More pics on Facebook. So malas to put here. Lol.

Oh, today, I got to meet Ine again after 8 months. =) So happy that she's back from Sydney.

So anyways, I went over to Ine's house in Rawang with Yana, and we were so proud of ourselves that we managed to get to her house without getting lost cause neither one of us has driven to Rawang before, and we were totally dependent on Ine's directions and the road signs. Lol. And I guess it helped that I take particular notice of landmarks and stuff when I drive.

Basically Ine only invited the two of us, and her sister invited like 5 friends of hers, and hence there was a LOT of yummy food there. Yana and I ended up stuffing our faces with roti jala that Ine's mum made, AND barbecued chickens, sausages and meats that the sister's friends made.

Oh yeah. I felt like such a glutton. Oh, did I mention I had an ice-cream, too? Lol.

It was so nice catching up with her, though. And we took loads of pictures, but unfortunately the pictures in my camera didn't turn out so well. But these are some of the pictures that we took:

Yeah, you can only take random pictures like this when you're with your close friends. =)

Funny thing is, we weren't even close the last few years of high school. And it's ironic how the supposedly close friends of ours in high school are more like acquintances now, rather than good friends. Oh well, c'est la vie, no?

And the best part is, they're not judgemental. =)

I know I'm being paranoid, but think I'm being judged by my hair now. Please la. I'm still the same person okay. If you knew me then, you'd still know me now.

My raya

I'm so happy cause I had loads of yummy food these past few days. GEMUK LA SAYA MACAM NI. Haih. And I'm also happy cause I got loads of duit raya this year!!!!! =D

The family portrait from the first day:

And a video of my dad tricking us into thinking he was taking a picture. You can hear him laughing loudly at the end:

Us in black & white on the second day. Thank God we didn't end up looking like mourners. Lol.

My dad took this candid video while we were getting ready for the pictures:

Seems like my dad has discovered the VIDEO button on the camera and is using it to its full potential. -___- Hahahahahaha.

My class starts tomorrow. How sad. Even my dad, the heart doctor, has the whole week off. HOW BLOODY UNFAIR.

September 17, 2009

I want to sleep like how this handsome boy of mine is sleeping.

I can't believe that he and his sisters are 1+ years now.

It was like it was just yesterday that they were born!

Oh well.

I love you, Dimitri. =) Go make beautiful babies. Lol.

I love you too, Josie.
And Cinnamon.
And Princey.
And Noodles.
And Stardust.
And Penelope, too. Lol.

Yeah, we give weird names to our cats.

September 16, 2009

Urgh.

This here is the scary, creepy thing known as my EXAM TIMETABLE.

I looked at it just now, and I almost got a heart attack.

The dates for the two papers that I absolutely despise are BACK-TO-BACK.

I mean, seriously, there are like 20 available dates for the exams, and they just HAD to choose two back-to-back dates?

I hate this semester.

It's so ironic that this was supposed to be my "laid-back" semester.

Pardon me while I go wallow in the corner and arrange my timetable for the next six weeks so that I won't fail any of these units.

Small post.

Last weekend I went to buka puasa with my family at the KL Convention Centre. Met one of Anis' friend there. Let's call her T. So T snuck up behind me while I was taking food and started stroking my hair and whispering "Pretty straight hair....." which almost made me jump out of my skin. I turned to her and went "WHAT THE HELL MAN?"

So after that, we had a conversation that sort of went like this:

T: So how's Monash? My friend said the workload is ridiculous.
Me: Uh huh. I have two assignments due next week and one on the 4th day of raya. Joy.
T: No wonder your sister says you don't have a boyfriend. Aren't you a business student? Shouldn't you like be out more often, y'know, networking?
Me: BITCH!!!!!! I don't have time!
T: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

See. Even my sister's friend knows how PATHETIC my life is. Haih.

A reflection of who we are.

It's so funny, how in America, the supposedly "Land of Dreams", Muslim Americans are struggling to be accepted. What's more saddening is that compared to eight years ago, during the 9/11 attacks, people were more tolerant of Muslims.

And the reckless, stupid and inconsiderate cow head protest in Shah Alam during the first week of Ramadhan, on a FRIDAY nonetheless, is not doing any good for the world's perception on Muslims.

It's sad how we as Muslims are being judged by the public based on these events.

Oh, by the way, we're into the last 10 days of Ramadan now. I can't believe how fast time flies!

September 9, 2009

I'm bored. Lol.

Just cause I felt like posting up random pictures and videos. And songs, too. LOL. Putting these up on Facebook just seems weird. And pointless. Fine, it's STILL weird and pointless here, but meh, who cares?

Random pictures:

So this is a picture of my studylight on my desk, surrounded by all sort of nonsense:

I think the picture actually looks really good! I am so proud of myself, considering it was just a random picture. Lol.

Oh, while looking at the Arsenal site, pretending that I have plastic money to buy all the stuff, I saw this baby sleepsuit:

OMG when I have babies my babies will so be wearing this. It's sooooo cuteeee. I wonder what my uncle would think if I bought this for my baby cousin, especially since my uncle's a HUGE Liverpool fan. Lol.

Random Videos:

Just now, I went up to Wani, flipped my hair, and said "I'm pretty!!!!!!!!!!!!" just to annoy her. I was bored and she came barging into my room, so she was such an easy target. Lol.

She said I sounded like Johnny Bravo, a cartoon character who is SO FULL OF HIMSELF, it's unbelievable. He's like the epitome of himbo-ness. So anyways, I went on Youtube and found this video on what happens when the idiot Johnny Bravo meets his echo. It's sooooo lame, but it's so idiotically funny! "I'm pretty! No, I'm prettier!" Watch it. It's only 20 seconds anyways.

Oh, and this is so random, but when I was watching BSB's latest video (yeah, they still exist! I heard the song on radio and it reminded me of a time 10 years ago when I was obsessed with them!), I was watching Nick and thinking how hot he looks cause he was BALD.

And I realise that my obsession with bald guys should stop. Lol. Here's the Backstreet Boys vid for Straight to My Heart (I love the song, btw, hahaha. I'm in my bimbo music mode right now)

Random songs

I LOVE THIS SONG. It's called Broken, and it's by Lifehouse. I have been listening to it on repeat continuously for the past 3 days. Jason Wade's voice can make me melt like butterrrrr. Yummy. Lol.

This is another song I absolutely love. 3OH!3's Starstrukk with Katy Perry. It's all Nat's fault for making me hooked onto this song. I especially love the line "You know that type of shit just don't work on me, whistling then trying to flirt with me"

Okay, enough spamming. I need to sleep. And get back to doing assignments.

Oh, talking about assignments, there's something I need to get off my chest before I sleep.

You know what I realised pisses me off so badly? Imagine spending ages researching for your assignment, typing out the essay, forcing your brain to come up with some intellectual words to convey your point.

Then imagine somebody who has obviously not put in any effort in the assignment because basically they just take other people's work, and they get HIGHER marks than you. Won't that piss you off?

Sometimes I feel like it's a slap to the face when this happens. Thing is, I see it happening with EVERY SINGLE BLOODY ASSIGNMENT.

I do all my assignments by myself okay and it hurts so bad when other people who obviously didn't do any thinking gets similar or higher marks than I did.

The thing is, they're not exactly dumb people cause you need brains la if you want to survive Monash.

Which is why sometimes I feel so good when I do so much better than them for the exams. It's such sweet revenge to be able to smile and say "I got a Distinction/High Distinction. How about you?"

I know it's so immature to be doing that, but it gives me so much satisfaction to be able to do that.

Ironically, I guess I have to thank these cheaters cause they became my inspiration to achieve higher marks. Yeah, I have a twisted mind, what's new?

So yeah. Now that that's out, I can go to sleep now. Nitenite people! Lol.

September 7, 2009

Totally random.

Alia's random thought of the day:

Do guys actually sing Aerosmith's I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing when they go for karaoke sessions? Cause the song (which is one of my absolute favourites to sing during karaoke, or in the car!) seems more like a girl's song cause of the gedik way that Steven Tyler sings it. Lol.

Like I said, RANDOM thought of the day. Hahahaha.

September 6, 2009

Zara's 8th birthday

Happy 8th birthday, Alysha Nadia Zahirah!
You're getting bigger and Kak Ya's getting older! ='(

September 3, 2009

My new hair!!!! I love it! Hahahahahahahahaha. People were so shocked when they saw me this week. I should have makeovers like this more often. Lol.

Okay, I've gotta go back to reading up on some more journals now. Urgh. I can't wait for the mid-sem break, where I'll be free from doing any journal readings!
