UK Trip - Read before scrolling down please!

Below, I'm compiling my UK trip based on the places we went to, so it might be a bit jumbled up.

I don't think I can write anymore about the UK trip. Too busy now. I'm so sorryyyyy. =( I've posted up Scotland though.

I've decided to go day-by-day. Much easier. Lol. Have fun going through the posts, and hopefully you guys won't get bored by the lengthy posts.

Oh, I'll try to post up all the posts ASAP. But I have too much photos (6 GB combined from two cameras!) to choose from to upload, and uploading takes a bit of time, so please bear with me. =)

Yep, the posts will be below this post.

Posts for Day 1 to 7 are up

Love loads,

UK Trip - Day 4, 5, 6 - Lake District

Internet's really crappy. So sorry for being late with the post. =(

The whole of Day 4 was basically our travelling day. The journey from Southend to our destination in Carnforth (which was more than 200 miles away) took up almost six hours, so by the time we got to Tewitfield Marina, the aparthotel we were staying in, we were all so tired. But the place where we were staying at is awesomeeeee, considering it only costs £ 120 per night and it can fit all of us comfortably.

Mind you, there's 8 of us. Even in Malaysia sometimes it's hard to get accommodation for all of us below RM600.

In the car. We managed to hire a 9-seater van with plenty of luggage space, so we were all very comfortable. =)

Some pictures of the place:

Chilling out in front of the tv! See how small I am compared to them?

Oh, I thought taking picture wouldn't do the place much justice, so take a look at this video of my tour around the accommodation: =)

So the next day was basically our sight-seeing day. We went to a lot of places that I can't even remember the names anymore! Lol.

Before the start of the day's journey. That's our rental van!

The World of Beatrix Potter!

I'm not sure what this place is called, by I remembered this was where we got our Lebara simcards. The charges were REALLY cheap. It was 10p per minute to call UK numbers, 10p to text UK numbers AND international numbers. And it was just 5p per minute to call Malaysia. Yeap, cheaper to call Malaysia than the UK. Oh, and for Lebara-to-Lebara numbers, it's free for 100 sms and 100 minutes. So yeah. VERY cheap. I managed to call the boyfriend a few times.

Around the Lake District National Park

Around Lake District.

Being a car enthusiast who watches Top Gear all the time (and buys Motor Trader weekly), my dad decided to tackle one of the steepest roads in England, known as the Hardknott Pass. I was VERY worried because the gradient of the slope going up the hill can get up to 33% (the signs along the way say so. -___-) and not only were we NOT in a 4WD, our rental van is humongous and the road is like a small, one lane road. So yes, I was a asking my dad "ARE YOU SURE ABOUT THIS?"

But eventually, once we got pass the first few scrapes on the road, I understood why my dad wanted to go on the road. I mean, look at these pictures:

This is the road that we had to go on. It's scary, but so nice. =)

Yeah, my dad loves to go off the beaten path. And it's really interesting because the sights we saw is definitely different from what we typically see in Malaysia.

But it was sooooooo cold up there. The wind was biting!!! After every picture we took all of us would run back to the van to seek heat. Lol.

So that's basically the end of Day 5. On our way back to Tewitfield, we saw this hot-air balloon:

Yeah, a bit jakun. Sorry. Hehehe.

So on Day 6, we were leaving Tewitifield to continue our way to Duns, Scotland (which is another long journey cause it's up north). But we still managed to go around some places before we left!

Saying goodbye to our beautiful accommodation. Definitely one of my favourites ever. =)

Some of us sent postcards back to Malaysia that day. I sent one to the boyfriend at this stop. =)

Since Anis' psychology degree is affiliated with Lancaster University, we decided to go stop by Lancaster to see the Uni (just in case one day she can go there!):

I think this is the town centre. Not sure.

Funny story when she was taking this picture. We were all sitting inside the van, waiting for her and my dad to take this picture, and we actually saw this dude in a car gawking at her, like no one has ever taken a picture with the sign before. Even when he was driving off he still looked back. Hahahaha.

Ullswater Lake. =)

This couple in the picture with us saw us taking the picture above at one of the stops and they were genuinely curious about whether the six of us are really siblings. They looked so astonished when they found out that yes, we were all siblings. Lol. They were so cute we decided that we just had to take a picture with them. =)

And after a longggggggg journey, we eventually reached the border:

YAYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was already around 7 when we reached the border, and it was another one and a half hours drive to Duns, so basically that was our day. Would tell you guys more about Duns & Edinburgh in the next post! =)
