Updates, updates!

Alritey.

Now, where was I?

Oh yeah, I'm sorry I haven't been updating!!!

I had a bit of a problem understanding my assignments.

Surprisingly right, I had a problem when I was doing my Stats assignment instead of Accounting. And Stats is supposed to be my forte.

I just figured out how to do the Stats assignment THE DAY BEFORE IT WAS DUE!
And it was so simple that I can't believe I only figured out it then. I could've finished it off like last week had I figured out how to do it sooner. Pressure does strange things to the mind.

And I can't believe how people are asking me how to do the accounts assignment question. I mean, my Accounts wasn't bad, but it wasn't that good. But since most of the really good students flew off to Australia, I guess I'm their next best thing la. Luckily I could understand everything.

It's so satisfying to actually understand what you are doing. Especially for assignments.

So yesterday I had to send both assignments in. And when I sent it in, I was so relieved because don't have to think about it anymore.

Oh, anyways, my dad took anis and I to the PC fair at the Convention Center yesterday.

I saw the MacBook Air! It's shooo pwetty!!!!!!! Me likey.

BUT, that's not the best part.
My dad was looking at these HP tablets right. And then there was this one that definitely caught his eye, which was this one:

The original price was RM 3999, but at the PC fair it was RM2799 plus Rm 100 to upgrade to 4GB RAM and RM200 for an extended 2 years warranty because they only had a one-year warranty.

So my dad was asking, "Do you want it?"

I was contemplating because I liked it, but I didn't want to ask my dad to buy it for me because although the laptop at home has gone a bit cuckoo, it was still usable la.
And I feel so guilty to ask him to buy that for me. So I just shrugged.

But I got the shock of my life when he ended up buying THREE of the laptops!

One for him, one for me and one for Anis.

Oh yeah.

So now I have a new laptop, and i just saw my dad spent more money than i think i will ever have in my bank, unless i don't use the allowance that i get every month.

Which is not going to happen.

And so, I will guard this laptop with my life.
I'm so using it until i work and can afford to buy a new one. (Translation = until i graduate)

And I got to buy the inks for my printer for RM87. Usually buying the black and colour inks usually cost about RM100 to RM 110 so i was so happy when we got to buy it for less.

Life couldn't be better. Hahaha.

Oh, and I went to eat at wendy's in pyramid after class last Thursday. There were soooo many people there. I had high expectations for Wendy's cause they're supposed to have really yummy burgers, but I was kinda disappointed. Anis and I kept on comparing Wendy's to Carls Jr and we feel like Carls Jr's much better. But I liked their jacket potatoes. Yummy. Anis and I tried the one with chili and cheese, and it was good. But their burgers taste similar to the ones in Burger King. I complained to Nat la that night, and she was like, "Maybe your expectations was TOO high" and I was like, erm, yeah la, maybe I was expecting a little too much.

Oh well. I tend to get really excited a lot of times and I do get my hopes up.

hahaha.

OK, i think that's all I gotta say. I'm quite blur la right now.

My weekend

I went for a trip to Sungai Sendat last Sunday.

Still can't get over the name. Sungai
SENDAT....*snicker*

For those who are interested in knowing, Sungai Sendat is near Ulu Yam. Well, not that near, because it's further up. I think it's like a 40 minutes drive to get there from my house.

The thing is right, the road to go to Sungai Sendat is like ridiculous, and a bit not suitable for non-4WD cars, so my dad insisted on taking the Range Rover and Pajero, so of course I ended up driving the Pajero.

Look at the tyres....quite bad right? :S

But all in all, it was fun! I hadn't mandi sungai in like ages. And it was sooo pretty there.

Funny thing happened while we were on the way. I was grumbling about driving on the tanah merah road, and Iskandar asked me, "Don't they teach you how to drive on roads like this in driving school?"

And I was like, "Nooooooooo, that Kancil will not last on roads like this. The suspension confirm ruin"

Just as I said that, I saw a Kancil up in front.

Anis and I laughed so hard, we were barely making any sound.

But the Kancil didn't go as far as we did because where we went was definitely not suitable for a Kancil.

Oh, you know how I'm allergic to cats?

I have 5 cats in my room right now. Oh yeah.

A mother cat and her four kittens, to be exact.

We think the mother is a cat that got dumped by the owners when they found out she was pregnant.

So anyways, the mother gave birth to the kittens like 2 weeks ago, but we didn't know where. The thing is right, the mummy cat, who we call Pinky (which is like a total misnomer because she has gray fur!), comes for food everyday. And since we all love cats, we bought her some food and feed her everyday. And everytime she eats, we ask "Pinky, where are your kittens? Kenapa tak bawak?"

So last Sunday right, just before we stepped out of the house, Pinky came and in her mouth was one kitten who looks just like her. And the kitten was so fat and cute. No wonder everytime Pinky comes to the house she's starving.

Mummy feeding the kitten. Soooo cute, right?

When we came back from the trip, we found out that she had brought 4 kittens to the house and all of them were so gemuk, and their fur is so soft. I feel like squeezing them.

So anyways, we couldn't possibly keep the kittens and the mummy outside because sejuk at night. Some more with the crazy weather we've been getting, i'm scared that something bad might happen to the kittens. So after much thought (actually it was more like 20 minutes of contemplation), Anis and I decided to take the whole litter into our room. So we borrowed this cage from Kak Tish and put all the cats into it and took them into our room.

And so my room is now cat central. And surprisingly, after a full 24 hours with the cats, I did not suffer any snuffles or sneezes, so it's not so bad. Plus, the kittens are super-adorable. Even though they sleep like 95% of the time.

Oh, I almost hit a wild boar on Sunday. My dad and I took the Pajero and Range Rover to the carwash after coming back from Sungai Sendat. So while we were on our way back (we were already in Bukit Antarabangsa), this animal just suddenly ran in front of my car. And I braked.

Luckily I was driving slow.

I thought it was a dog at the beginning, but then after a few seconds, I realised it was a wild boar. Bloody scary. My heart was doing like 140, I think. I was soooo glad nothing happened.

Can you just imagine what would have happened had I hit the boar?

Scarynya!!!!!!!!!

Oh yeah, that night, I went to my dad's clinic because Anis needed to print out some stuff and the printer at home wasn't working. So anyways, I asked my dad to check my blood pressure and found out that my blood pressure was a bit lower than normal. So my dad was like, "how to donate blood like this?" since Anis and I are always so bising because we never get to donate our blood.

Geez. Thanks Pa.

How supportive.

I kinda wonder what the low blood pressure means because people say that if you're stressed, then your BP will shoot up. Does that mean I'm so relaxed that my BP is low? ;-)

Okay, I need to finish up my tutes.

Later people.

2 years down the road....

Yesterday (28/3/08), this blog turned TWO!

Oh my God.

I can't believe I've kept this blog for two years. What an achievement! Yay me!

Read my first post HERE (quite embarrassing okay to baca balik).

Hahaha. I was still doing A-Levels back then.

Wow.

How time flies.

I met up with Nat yesterday. Had so much fun because both of us have been craving for sushi! Yummy.

Oh, this is Nat's (and mine!) current obsession, David Cook from American idol 7. Here he's singing Lionel Richie's Hello:

He's sooooo sexy. His sepet eyes, his shy smile. *swoons*

It's my current favourite song! I love this version of Hello. I like it soooo much better than the original. Emo version rules!

Oh, Zaty has recommended Openoffice as a solution to my Microsoft Office problem.

Going to install it and let's hope it'll be the solution to my problems! *fingers crossed*

I want cupcakes.

Dunno why.

I just feel like i have a sudden craving for them.

Dammit.

Maybe I should get some soon.

Or maybe I should get them for my birthday.

Whatever it is, I want the cupcakes.

Oh dear.

What's wrong with me?

Random facts

Got this from KB =) :

6 random facts about yours truly:

1. I am embarrassed of my long name
  • In school it was inevitable for people to know my full name but nowadays I just go by the name of Alia Azani. School friends still know me as Alia Arwina, though, since last time my name tag in school ALWAYS says Alia Arwina. Most of my Monash friends don't know my full name, and when they do find out, they'll be like, "Panjang gila nama". It's not that I don't want people to know my name, i think it's just embarrassing (and quite pointless, actually) to say "Hi, my name's Alia Arwina Izyani Azani". They'll never be able to pronounce it anyways. Figures why Nat and Zaty still call me Weener after all these years. I wonder how I'm gonna get married if the guy can't pronounce my name properly.

2. I like to reverse park
  • Whenever possible, I try to reverse park. I think like 90% of the time when I have to park my car, I'll reverse park because it's so much easier to get out of the parking spot later. I tend to amuse my friends with my insistence on reverse parking.

3. I have a soft-spot for guys who love kids
  • I dunno why. I just feel like they'll be good fathers if they like kids. And it shows that they're sensitive, too.

4. My favourite cartoon character is Cosmo from The Fairly Oddparents

  • It doesn't get any more random than this now, does it? =D I like him because he's soooo adorable.

5. I get very amused when people say I look unapproachable
  • I don't know why, but people are scared of me. I think I give out a first impression of being aloof, but it's just my shyness creeping in. A lot of people are shocked once they get to know me better because they find that I'm not that scary after all.

6. I don't recommend people watching sports with me
  • I really like to watch football, and I can be very noisy during matches. My mum can actually tell who's winning or losing just by listening to me shouting, screaming, moaning and groaning. Same goes when I watch F1.

I have to tag 6 people, but I'm only tagging two because everyone else either has been tagged or are too lazy to actually do anything. I'm tagging:
  • Ine
  • Zaty
Should be interesting. Haha.

March 25, 2008

Last weekend has NOT been kind to me.

I'm not exaggerating.

On Saturday, while I was out with Nat (we've JUST got to One Utama), my mum called and said that the Vitara's radiator bocor. The problem is, she was supposed to pick up Alwani from school (pity Standard 6 kids, even on Saturdays they still have school) and Iskandar from Putrajaya.
So I had no choice but to send Nat home, and then drove to my mum, sort out the car problems and pick up Alwani. Cancelled off my plans for the whole day.

I was a bit pissed off la cause I haven't seen Nat in ages. I'm going to see her on Friday and let's hope nothing goes wrong this time.

My laptop also decided to go crazy that very day.

I turned it on, but it wouldn't boot up.

I was pressing on the Ctrl+Alt+Delete buttons so many times I think i would have screwed the laptop up even worse.

Took it to my uncle that night, who said I needed to use the Recovery CD to reboot the computer.

Found out he was going to F1 the next day and that he apparently got some nice seats.

I was like, "I want to go!"

And he's like, "why you didn't tell me earlier?"

The thing is, he was supposed to be in Langkawi this weekend, so how was I supposed to know that he was going for F1?

Needless to say, I was NOT in a good mood on Saturday night. I think being in a foul mood would be a better term. I was so pissed off you wouldn't believe it.

I ended up watching the F1 race at home this year.

How boring. It's just not the same as watching it in Sepang. Everyone's like, "why bother going to Sepang? you don't even know who's leading and stuff. And it's just cars going round and round"

I know that. But I like it. I can't explain why. You have your passions, I have mine. So be it. Stop asking me these questions. It pisses me off.

I'm going next year. By hook or by crook, I WILL GO FOR F1 IN 2009!

Oh, after the race, I tried using the Recovery CDs (there was a bunch of them) to reboot the computer.

Didn't work because there was something wrong with one of the bloody CDs.

So I had to take it to Low Yat for repairs yesterday.

Went to pick it up today, but there was another bad news for me.

The computer is running and stuff, BUT,

They couldn't re-install Microsoft Office.

I panicked. I seriously panicked.

Apparently there's a missing CD that I need to reinstall the Microsoft Office, but I dunno where my dad put the CD.

Right now I have to wait until my dad can find the CD, take it back to the repair place in Low Yat and hope to God that they can reinstall Office.

I have TWO assignments due in 2 weeks. How am I supposed to do any of it if I don't have Microsoft Word and Excel?

I'm really worried.

I want to cry.

Oh, it also didn't help that Arsenal lost over the weekend.

I'm so depressed right now.

Oh, but this ad I saw in the paper kinda lifted me up:

I can't believe it's coming!

Beauty and the Beast is my ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE Disney movie ever!

I love, love, love, love the movie!

I want to go for the show! The songs are going through my head right now.

I don't care if it's childish, but I want to watch it.

Such drama in my life. I hate it.
